How to install a cast iron bath? To independently carry out the installation of a similar design, no special technical skills are required. It is necessary to observe a certain sequence during the installation and take into account some technical features.
The room where the bath will be installed must meet the requirements for installation work. The geometric dimensions should allow the installation of the required structure, the room should be freed from all sanitary devices (washbasin, toilet bowl), the doorway should be sized to allow unobstructed bathing in the bathroom.

The bath is put on one side, then the supports and the siphon are mounted. Supports of the bath can be fixed to the base by means of metal wedges or by threaded connection. Threaded fixing of baths provides for fastening the legs to the product with sufficient force. That is, the nut is screwed with an ordinary carob key with the application of the average effort of an adult. The tight fasteners and the lack of backlashes in the joint create a monolithic design, which is important in the daily operation of sanitary ware.
The siphon system is installed according to the instructions. Typical installation of siphons involves sealing the drain with gaskets. Typically, a silicone or rubber ring is installed between the bottom surface of the bath and the body of the siphon. Round rubber rings, sealing parts of the siphon should be included in the exhaust kit. Places for their installation are indicated on the installation diagram of the drainage system.
Using a corrugated pipe, the siphon is connected to the overflow system. The joints are sealed with a conical gasket.

- by means of a corrugated flexible pipe;
- with the help of a rigid connection with a fitted piece of sewer pipe.
The first option is easier, but has its drawbacks. The corrugated pipe has a corrugated surface, both outside and inside. This causes a predisposition to blockages. Soap, fat and hair deposits accumulate in the tube folds, which leads to the formation of lumps and hole obstruction.
The second option is more laborious, but allows drains to flow unhindered into the sewage system.
The sealing of the bath between the walls and the outer edges is made depending on the features of the bathroom. When overhaul is usually taken into account this point and this issue is solved with the help of gaskets or waterproofing measures that are carried out during the laying of tiles on the walls of the room. If there is a replacement of sanitary ware without major repairs of the premises, the waterproofing measures require an individual approach. Usually, the problem is solved by selecting the necessary sealing of the gap. The cast-iron bath is installed in such a way that the level of the siphon bend is above the sewer pipe by 50 mm.
