Nevertheless, it is better to count by pieces, because the calculation of the area may fail because of the unaccounted amount of ceramic tiles cut at the edges.

To make the calculation of the necessary material for the bathroom walls, calculate the number of tiles separately for each (initial data in centimeters):

• height - 260;
• 160 - the first width, 180 - the second;
• 20x30 - dimensions of the tiled surface;

We calculate the number of tiles of one row of height: 260: 30 = 8.66 (in rounding 9). Count the number of width tiles: 160: 20 = 8. Now calculate the number of elements per bathroom wall: multiply the number of tiles in height by their number in width, get 72 pieces (8x9). That is, on a wall that has a width of 160 cm, you need to buy 72 pieces. Similarly, consider the number of tiles for a surface with a width of 180 cm. It turns out 81 surfaces.

Now calculate how many tiles to buy on the wall in which the door is located. The door height is divided into a larger value for the dimensions of the product (200: 30 cm), resulting in 6.66 (rounded to 7). The width of the door (60) is divided by the height of the tiled surface, we obtain the private - 3; multiply 7 and 3, we get 21 pieces. This figure is subtracted from the total amount needed for the wall with the door, that is, "minus" the doorway. The result: 72-21 = 51. That is, 51 tiles are needed for the wall behind the minus door.

You can also calculate the necessary material for the wall where you plan to install a bath. If you do not plan to cover this wall with tiles completely, then the calculation is done minus the place where it will stand.

When the stowage works are completed, you need to wipe the seams. The color of the grout can coincide with the tile, and can contrast with it. To calculate, you need to know the volume that will be filled. Professionals recommend making joints up to 3 mm wide. Seam depth is taken into account with the use of a coefficient to the value of the plate thickness. The coefficient is 1.5. It is needed to account for possible shrinkage.

Calculating the mass of grouting, you need to divide 1/2 of the perimeter of the tiled surface by the area, and then find the product of the resulting number and the thickness value. The resultant number is multiplied with the value of the width of the seam and the indicated coefficient. You should get a lot of grout, which is enough for 1 square.
