Still there are polymer-cement mixtures, which, simultaneously with hydroprotection, serve as a screed. It is not recommended to use roll materials based on polyethylene, because this material does not have sufficient vapor permeability, which creates additional conditions for the formation of condensate, and, moreover, is short-lived.

Using bitumen mastic or a roll-based waterproofing based on bitumen, it is possible to arrange a good hydroprotection, this method is more durable than a layer of a polymer-cement mixture. The disadvantages of this method is that when it is installed, special care is required. The roll waterproofing must be laid out evenly, without the slightest cracks, always overlapping, with a wall entry of not less than 15 cm. If necessary, you can heat the sheets with a burner. All joints, the places of entering the walls and bypassing the water pipes for better results should be smeared with liquid bituminous mastic. On pipes it is necessary to use special rubber seals. Another disadvantage of this method is that these materials have a sufficiently persistent and unpleasant smell, and the bathroom does not have windows, which creates a ventilation problem.
The device of a hydro-protective layer with the help of polymer-cement mixtures is a more economical option, since the same layer acts as a screed. With its help, you can immediately create a flat surface and raise the floor to the desired height. For reliability in the last layer of waterproofing it is worth drowning reinforcing mesh.
