- plywood, OSB or MDF;
Walls of the screen can be faced:
- decorative plaster;
- paint and the like.
The cladding with plastic does not require finishing. Of course, this material does not give the bath the appearance of a "piece" product, but it is preferable for those who choose the low price of components, ease of installation of the screen and its practicality in operation.
To install a plastic screen under the bath, you will need:
- PVC panels;
- starting profile for them;
- metal profile or wooden beam for the frame;
- Fasteners for tightening the frame and installing the start plates.

The advantage of plastic panels is that they can be easily dismantled to easily reach pipelines.
First you need to measure the distance from the floor to the inside of the bath rim along its length and width. After this, rectangular frames are assembled. When you make them, use a square. Correctness of frame assembly is checked by measuring their diagonals. The starting profiles for PVC are attached to the upper beams of the frame. Now the frames are attached to the wall. Their installation is carried out with the help of corners, screws and dowels or anchors, inserted into the wall through the holes drilled in the bars. After this, the frames are tightened together. The other starting profiles are installed in which the PVC panels are inserted. Angle joints are faced with appropriate additional elements.
By attaching to the bottom and top profiles the furniture guides or two parallel starting slats and choosing wide panels for facing, you can make a screen that opens like a sliding door closet, in which 2 or even 3 doors will move. They are equipped with decorative handles. Behind the screen you can arrange a lath for shelves. The height of the frame can be less than the space between the side of the container and the floor. Then he will lean on the legs set in the corners. They are not difficult to buy in the store. Supports will give the design an external lightness.

Quite simply the screen under the bath is made of bricks. Blocks are laid on the edge and adhered to the masonry mortar. Before this, you need to mark the front line of the screen and the vertical. When noting, take into account that the panel will then be tiled.
First, vertices are marked on the wall using the level. Then, between them, a masonry line fires off on the floor with a cord. Before the construction, the walls in the place where they adjoin should be freed from a paint or other coating. It will be good if every row of bricks will be connected to the partition of the reinforcement, which was driven into it. Leave a small gap between the rim and the masonry. The bath should not lean on the screen. This space can be sealed with a mounting foam or foam.
Unlike the PVC screen, the brick wall does not provide access to the pipes, so it will need to leave an opening. Bricks above it are laid on a steel plate or strip of thick moisture-proof plywood or OSB. After the final finishing, the opening is closed with a decorative hatch.

Figure 2 shows how the screen looks like a bath, made of moisture-resistant plasterboard. GCR is easy to process and install. What kind of configuration the screen will have depends only on which frame you collect. It can be given and smooth contours, only in this case you will have to use for finishing not a tile, but, for example, decorative plaster. GCR can be bent, making incisions at half its thickness. And its installation begins with the installation of a framework of profiles. The figure shows that the screen seals the space in front of the bathroom and behind it. To achieve this, a sealant is placed under the lower profile (UD). The profile is attached to the floor by a dowel-nail every 20 cm. The walls are also screwed with the guides. In addition, UD profiles are placed in the corner. From above, they are assembled together by a horizontal guide, on the back side of which a strip of damping tape is glued. Marking and installation of all parts are carried out using the level and taking into account the subsequent finishing of the screen.
Vertical (CD) profiles are inserted into the guides through 60 cm. In addition, the profiles are mounted around the opening and along the perimeter of the leg niche. All elements are pulled together by screws with press washers. Drywall is cut out so that the height of the sheets is 1.5-2 cm less than the space between the side of the bath and the floor. In the GKL a hole is cut under the opening.
Before installation, the inner sides of the panels should be impregnated with a deep penetration primer. The sheets are fixed with screws every 15 cm. After installation, the seams between the panels are pasted with a serpent and are filled with putty. After priming on GKL the finish is put. You can add that instead of a decorative hatch in the opening you can insert a box for household items, but for him you will need to make guides.
Application of plywood, MDF or OSB

Of these materials, the OSB has the best characteristics of moisture resistance, but only the OSB 3 plate should be used in the room, as it is the most environmentally friendly. The PSF grade plywood is also not afraid of contact with water, but it releases formaldehyde, so it should only be used in outdoor construction work. Environmentally friendly plywood FK needs preliminary multiple impregnation with hot drying oil with drying of each impregnation layer with a hot iron or a hair dryer. Only after that it can last a long time in a damp room. The screen under the bath can be made of MDF panels, however, during installation, they must be treated with a multiple application of the primer.
The framework for wood-based materials is made in the same way as for plasterboard. The frame is made of bars or metal profiles. Self-tapping screws must be screwed into the panels only through pre-prepared holes. From plywood, OSB and MDF it is possible to make and opening screens, using furniture loops or guides for doors.
It must be added that all the wooden elements of the frame must be impregnated with antiseptics and primers.
